HBO'S INSECURE CAST TO CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR IN HOUSTON. WHAT TO KNOW

The cast of the critically acclaimed HBO series Insecure is set to reunite in Houston later this year for a 10th anniversary celebration at Bayou Music Center.

Insecure, which stars award-winning actress and writer Issa Rae, first aired in 2016 and ended after five seasons in 2021 - becoming a cultural phenomenon for its storytelling that sparked Twitter conversations days after episodes aired, according to The Atlantic. The show follows the awkward experiences and romantic tribulations of a modern-day African-American woman, according to its IMDb page.

A 10th anniversary celebration is planned in Houston on Oct. 10 at Bayou Music Center, where Rae will be joined by showrunner Prentice Penny and other cast members to take audiences behind the scenes and reflect on the show's legacy.

Tickets are expected to go on sale this Thursday at 12 p.m., according to the venue's announcement. Houston is one of 13 cities on the 10th anniversary tour. 

Since airing, Insecure has earned 14 Emmy nominations, three Golden Globes nominations, and a 2022 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
