A comprehensive guide for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, a nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom in the summer of 2025.
Fans of the former Main Street Electrical Parade will be thrilled to know that nighttime parades are returning to Magic Kingdom this year. In the summer of 2025, a brand new nighttime parade called Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will make its debut in the original Disney World park. From its opening timeline to what characters will be featured, we’re sharing a comprehensive guide to the new entertainment offering.
When it debuts, the nighttime parade will be filled with easter eggs to past parades at Magic Kingdom, along with some of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ earliest animated features. So far, floats we know include: a Disney Princess float, as well as floats themed to Moana, Frozen, Peter Pan, Coco, and Encanto. The Blue Fairy from Pinocchio plays a key role in the backstory, with her magic bringing the floats to life.
The princess unit will pay homage to Disney Legend and artist Mary Blair’s original concept artwork for Disney’s Cinderella. This float will feature princes and princesses like Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, and Cinderella and Prince Charming.
As for the Coco float, it will enter to the sounds of Mariachi music, featuring a larger-than-life Pepita. Miguel strums his guitar at the foot of a marigold bridge to the Land of the Dead, complete with sugar skull fireworks.
The Encanto float will see Isabela make her Magic Kingdom debut, swinging on floral vines just like she does in the film. Meanwhile, the Moana float will have the title character center stage, with Pua, HeiHei, and a manta ray representing Gramma Tala nearby. And the Frozen float’s concept art shows Elsa front and center!
Thus far, we know that Disney Starlight will open in the summer of 2025. Two previously announced summer openings for Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure have been given official opening dates of May 27, with Disney confirming that Disney Starlight will be opening “later this summer.” So, while we don’t have a date, we know it will be after that!
