Debuting in the late 1990s, Cowboy Bebopis now over 25 years old and one of the most iconic anime of all time. Now, fans can watch the series' movie side story in theaters as part of a limited engagement.
Iconic Events has brought several anime movies to the big screen in the past year, and now, it's Cowboy Bebop's turn. The latest in a series of Anime Cinema Nights, the screenings for Cowboy Bebop: The Movie will only take place across three days. Thus, now's the time for fans to search for local screenings and get their tickets, currently on sale, today.
Cowboy Bebop creator Shinichiro Watanabe returns to TV screens this April for the highly anticipated sci-fi action anime series, Lazarus.
Joining the line-up for Iconic Events' Anime Cinema Nights, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (also sometimes called Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door)is poised to be shown in theaters for three days in February 2025 -- Feb. 5, 6 and 9, with that final date being the second Sunday of the month. Wednesday and Thursday's screenings are later at night due to being weekdays, while Sunday has a few more time options, depending on which theater fans go to. The Thursday and Sunday showings will also be available at a wider number of theaters.
Originally released in 2001, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie came out two years following the conclusion of the show and takes place between Episodes 22 and 23 of the original anime series. The screening is the first 2025 entry in the Anime Cinema Nights series, with previous films including the first Mobile Suit Gundam movies and the 1990s classic Ninja Scroll. Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack is scheduled next, with the legendary movie being screened in March. Meanwhile, the Vampire Hunter D movie will be the April release for the event series as part of its 40th anniversary.
Tickets for Cowboy Bebop: The Movie can now be purchased through the Iconic Releasing website or the websites of movie theaters that will show the film -- and with only three... two... one days to watch it, fans will need to hurry and buy theirs quickly in order to jam with the somewhat overlooked cinematic extension of the series.
