WWE’S THE UNDERTAKER DROPS CRYPTIC MESSAGE SPARKING ROYAL RUMBLE BUZZ

WWE legend The Undertaker hasn’t been in a wrestling match in a while, as he’s been retired. However, “The Deadman” got WWE fans fired up with a recent cryptic message, possibly hinting at something with an upcoming premium live event.

The Hall of Famer last fought AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match, marking his final match in his career. That occurred at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, with Taker getting a win in the cinematic matchup, thwarting Styles’ friends Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as they tried to help.

With Undertaker riding away on his motorcycle into the sunset after burying Styles to get the win, it seemed like that was the perfect conclusion to his career. However, his recent post sparked curiosity and intriguing reactions from fans.

Taking to his official X account, he shared a series of four images, revealing visuals from that Boneyard Match. They included shots of vines, tree branches, and a car’s headlights in the dark nighttime setting.

Taker didn’t add any words to his post, instead allowing fans to reply and react to what the photos showed. Many suggested that this could be teasing his return for one more match, possibly at the upcoming Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia.

“Saudi is bringing you out of retirement for the rumble aren’t they?” one commenter wrote in the X replies.

“wait, are we getting another cinematic match?!” an X commenter asked.

“Undertaker Vs Sting, cinematic match. The only match i’ve been dreaming of since 2011 and still holding on the hope…,” another X commenter suggested.

“Instead of #theisland in #wwe2k26 we are getting the undertakers graveyard,” a fan asked on X.

Several fans had other strong guesses in the comments, including a prediction that it meant his final WrestleMania opponent, AJ Styles, is an upcoming guest on The Undertaker’s podcast. That’s possible, as Styles revealed he’s retiring in 2026.

However, the strongest guess is that these images are teasing the release of the fourth chapter of the “The Last Ride” documentary series on The Undertaker’s YouTube channel.

Nonetheless, it would be great to see Taker back in the ring again. The upcoming 2026 Royal Rumble takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Jan. 31, 2026, and some fans suggested they may have spent big money to get the biggest stars in WWE to participate in the event.

At 60, The Undertaker seems comfortable with staying retired, appearing on the WWE LFG show, and hosting his weekly podcast alongside his wife, Michelle McCool. However, one never knows if he’ll get the itch to return and give fans one more match as part of his career.
