THEO VON SHARES WITH KIRK HERBSTREIT WHAT HE REALLY THINKS OF ALABAMA

Last time we saw Theo Von, the comedian was on ESPN’s College GameDay getting shut down by Jess Sims on national TV.

Other than that - and watching his Vanderbilt Commodores lose to Alabama - Von said the trip to Tuscaloosa was “amazing.”

“That was one of the more picturesque things I’ve even been a part of to be honest,” Von told Kirk Herbstreit on his “Nonstop” podcast. “Even outside of GameDay being there, just the setup, atmosphere. It feels like a pro stadium in there. It feels bigger than a Titans game.”

He called the experience “perfect.”

“Alabama is amazing,” he explained. “We were upstairs looking out over the campus. How much that campus has changed over the years since Nick Saban was there and had so many successful seasons.”

Von, who adopted Vanderbilt as his team, is a big LSU fan, but he has an appreciation for Crimson Tide fans.

“They’re protecting something that means something to them,” he said. “They show up, and you can feel it. I felt like a visitor, but I felt like the most welcomed visitor that could be there.”

He also told a story of his first experience in Tuscaloosa last season when “some of the guys gave us a nice tour for a couple of hours.”

“One of the best receptions we got anywhere from players,” Von said of his experience last year. “For them to spend that time with us meant a lot. Just being there was amazing.”
