Inspired by a popular light novel series, The Most Notorious 'Talker' Runs the World's Greatest Clan is a classic underdog story set in an intriguing fantasy universe. Crunchyroll describes the plot as follows: "Noel is the grandson of Legendary Seeker Overdeath and dreams of surpassing his strength. But it turns out that Noel is a 'Talker' -- the weakest class of them all. Undeterred, he uses his silver tongue to gather allies, develop cunning strategies, and form the greatest clan around..." I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, one of the season's brand-new isekai series, revolves around a female gamer who is transformed into the villain of her favorite dating sim. Delighted, she tries to become the world's most famous villain -- while blatantly ignoring the prince who is deeply in love with her.

Re:Zero: Starting Life in Another World Season 3 picks up one year after main protagonist Subaru Natsuki's victory at the Sanctuary. Meanwhile, his traveling partner Emilia awaits the beginning of the Royal Selection ceremony -- an event whose outcome will determine the future ruler of Lugunicia. One day, she receives a letter from another selection candidate inviting her and Subaru to the Watergate City of Priestellia. This prompts the pair to embark on yet another journey fraught with perilous twists and turns.

Dark Moon: The Blood Altar, an anime based on the hit WEBTOON series, gets an Aniplex Online Fest 2024 announcement ahead of streaming on Crunchyroll.

KamiErabi.God.app Season 2 is perfect for anime fans who love battle royales. Crunchyroll describes the plot as follows: "The students of Suezane Yuai Academy use their special powers in competition for the coveted title of "God." After Goro succeeded in stopping Kyo and Ryo, he lost his powers. But, in that moment, he remembered his true wish. The fierce battle royale continues as allies become enemies and friends become foes in the fight for the Godly title and throne." Studio 8 Bit's Blue Lock anime similarly features a battle royale-style competition -- albeit with soccer players instead of superpowered teenagers.

Toei Animation's upcoming series, Dragon Ball Daima, is perhaps the most highly-anticipated show of the season -- if not the entire year. Initially announced in October 2023, Daima revolves around Goku and his fellow Z fighters being transformed into children by an unknown entity. While few additional plot details have been confirmed, the latest Daima trailer showcases several never-before-seen characters who are teased as the main villains. It also spotlights the Demon Realm, a region that has rarely been explored in previous Dragon Ball adventures.
