A month after the controversy, Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston finally voiced her opinion on Jimmy Kimmel's temporary suspension from his late-night show.
From Sept. 17 to Sept. 22, ABC and its parent company, Walt Disney, halted production of Jimmy Kimmel Live! This decision was made under pressure from Brendan Carr, a Donald Trump appointee and chairman of the Federal Communications Commission.
Following the brief hiatus, Kimmel returned to the airwaves and publicly apologized to Charlie Kirk's family. As many celebrities have shown their support for Kimmel, Aniston, the former star of Friends, has now added her name to his growing list of backers.

In an interview with Elle, the 56-year-old actress expressed her concern about the current state of affairs, saying, "Unthinkable things are happening. It's very dangerous and very unfortunate. But at the end of the day, we're the viewers."
She went on to add, "We subscribe to these networks and streaming services, so it really comes down to the people and their voices. All those subscription cancellations spoke volumes."
The decision to temporarily pull Kimmel's show off the air came after he made controversial comments about the death of conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk.
Kimmel had claimed that the "MAGA gang" was "desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them," and accused them of trying to "score political points from it."
Jennifer previously endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race prior to showing her support for Kimmel. The actress, known for her role in Just Go With It, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message with her 44.8 million followers.
She wrote, "Hi friends. Today, not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY. Please remember that whoever you are and wherever you live, your voice matters. Your VOTE matters."
Aniston continued, "I know we don't agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD, aren't you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as other? Let's please end this era of fear, chaos, and the attacks on our democracy – and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us."
She concluded her post by saying, "We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands!" She added, "We only have one week until Election Day, so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors, and let's find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE."
