TODAY SHOW HOST ACCIDENTALLY REVEALS CELEBRITY CAMEO IN UPCOMING DEVIL WEARS PRADA SEQUEL

Craig Melvin accidentally spilled the beans on a celebrity cameo in the upcoming Devil Wears Prada sequel.

The TODAY show host leaked a secret pertaining to a celebrity appearance in the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2 on Wednesday, April 8. While Craig, 46, was discussing the forthcoming sequel with his co-hostsCarson Daly, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Jenna Bush Hager—he revealed that Jenna was in the film, much to her surprise and the other co-anchors.

"By the way, you know how that movie's going to be good?" Craig said on the NBC morning show. "You know how I can tell? JBH is in it!"

Al made an audible "ooo" sound as he turned his head to Jenna, along with Savannah and Carson, who seemed stunned in silence.

The camera then panned to Jenna, who looked largely shocked, her mouth open and eyes wide. The 44-year-old journalist goes on to say, "I don't know that you were supposed to drop that bomb, but if you're…"

Savannah, 54, chimed in, "This is live. You cannot tell Craig anything!" Craig interjected, "I thought it was common knowledge?" Al, 71, teased, "It is now!"

Craig suggested, as he remained astonished by his own blunder, "Cut it out for the other feeds! Sorry about that JBH."

Savannah quipped, "Why don't you read my journal while you're at it?"

In a different news segment, Savannah asked Craig if he had any other announcements, and he replied, "My bad."

No other information was said about Jenna's cameo and the role she will portray in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Jenna previously dressed up as former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour with Savannah as Miranda Priestly for the TODAY show's Halloween episode in 2025.

Anna is widely known as the inspiration for the fictional editor-in-chief, played by Meryl Streep in the films.

Along with Meryl reprising her role in the sequel, so are Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs, Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling. David Frankel also returned to direct The Devil Wears Prada 2.

New additions to the cast include Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, and Pauline Chalamet, among others.

The sequel follows the 2006 film, The Devil Wears Prada, and is based on the 2013 novel Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns by Lauren Weisberger.

According to Vogue, the synopsis for the second film is that Andy returns to Runway as Miranda is navigating the new media landscape. Miranda also ends up reconnecting with her other former assistant, who is now the head of a luxury brand that holds the power in the money needed for Runway's survival.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 releases in theaters on May 1.
